James Law Cybertecture International has been commissioned by Vijay Associates to create a 32,000 sq. metre egg-shaped building in Mumbai, India. It will accommodate 13 floors of offices in an iconic development. The ‘egg’ is orientated and skewed at an angle to create both a strong visual language and to alleviate solar gain. Features include a sky garden to aid heat dissipation, as well as PV panels and a wind turbine to generate electricity. A water filtration system will also be incorporated into the building to recycle grey water for WC flushing and irrigation purposes.
